  13. This ZIP-file contains update files for Tropical Reader for
  14. Windows. If you have not installed the complete version of
  15. the program, you need to download the file 'TR130E.ZIP' from
  16. our WWW page or FTP server.

  19. The major improvement in the release is support for SLIP/PPP.
  20. You can now use a WINSOCK-connection (Trumper ot Win95) to
  21. send/receive EMail as well as filter incoming messages to
  22. the folders. As before you can also read QWK and SOUP packets
  23. using Tropical Reader for Windows.

  25. More than 140 bugs/quirks have been fixed since the last
  26. major release (1.27). Beta releases has been made available
  27. for users and a number of you are already familiar with
  28. many of the new functions and features.

  50. === NEXT UPGRADE ===
  51. We are currently working on the next release (1.4). The most
  52. important new feature for this release will be access to
  53. Newsgroups using SLIP/PPP. A limited number of users are
  54. testing this alpha and we plan to release it in March 96.
  55. An open beta will be made available for users in late February.

  57. A few weeks after 1.4 is released we will get a Win95 version
  58. ready.
